Enough Of Favre Already
OK. Favre’s a Jet. Aaron Rodgers is starting for Green Bay. And we’re finally over the saga. Or are we?
It seems that even ESPN is still trying to capitalize on Favre’s name in any way possible because they reported the following story as “news” …
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Even Brett Favre
isn’t immune to some punishment at practice.
The New York Jets quarterback fumbled a snap from Nick Mangold on Sunday morning and knew what was coming next: his first penalty lap.“He’s one of the guys,” coach Eric Mangini said. “You put the ball on the ground, you have to run. And that’s the way, when we talked about it, he wanted it and that’s the way I wanted it.” ~ ESPN.com
Come on. Who cares if Favre ran a penalty lap. Who cares if he throws an interception during practice. What’s next? Is the amount of push-ups he can do going to be “breaking news?”
Enough of Favre already. Let’s move on. Unless he “retires” again before the season starts, you won’t see another Favre post until football season is well under way.
I’m declaring Girls Dig Sports a Favre-free zone.
